What We Believe
Statement of Beliefs
We believe the Bible is God’s Word.
The Bible is inspired by God, trustworthy, and authoritative. It reveals who God is, shows us how to know Him, and provides truth and direction for how we live.
We believe in one eternal God.
There is one God, the Creator of all things, who exists eternally in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is perfectly loving, completely holy, and worthy of all our worship.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Savior of the world.
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose from the dead in victory. Through Jesus alone, we can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and receive the gift of eternal life.
When we take communion together, we remember and proclaim what Jesus accomplished for us through His death and resurrection.
We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ.
Sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. Salvation is God's gift of grace, received as we repent of our sin, place our faith in Jesus Christ, and surrender our lives to Him.
Through Christ, we are forgiven, made new, and invited into a lifelong journey of becoming more like Jesus.
We believe in water baptism.
Water baptism is an important step of obedience for every follower of Jesus. Through baptism, we publicly identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and declare that our old life is gone and we have been made new in Him.
We believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is at work in and through believers today. We believe every follower of Jesus can be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a holy and fruitful life, use the spiritual gifts He gives, boldly share the Gospel, and accomplish the purposes of God.
We believe God still heals and transforms lives.
God desires to restore what is broken and transform us from the inside out. We believe in the power of prayer and that God still heals, restores, delivers, and works miraculously according to His will.
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ.
God has uniquely gifted each of us and brought us together as His Church. We are called to worship God, grow together, strengthen one another, serve others, and share the Gospel in our community and throughout the world.
Every believer has a place and a purpose in the mission of God.
We believe Jesus Christ is coming again.
Jesus promised that He will return, and we live with hope and expectation for that day. Christ will ultimately triumph over sin and evil, the dead will be raised, and all people will face judgment.
God will make all things new, and those who belong to Christ will live forever with Him in the new heaven and new earth.
