Teen Reach Adventure Camp

Teen Reach Adventure Camps (TRAC Aloha) are three-day, faith-based, trauma-informed camps created specifically for youth ages 12–15 who are currently in or adopted from foster care in the Portland Metro area. TRAC Aloha offers a positive, welcoming space where campers feel seen, valued, and supported as they grow through adventure, connection, and encouragement.

Campers will experience the beauty of the great outdoors while building teamwork and confidence through hands-on activities such as fishing, swimming, archery, a low-ropes course, climbing wall challenges, crafts, and interactive group games. Each experience is designed to strengthen trust, encourage personal growth, and affirm every camper’s value—creating meaningful moments and lifelong memories along the way.

Teen Reach Adventure Camps are:

  • Biblically-based

  • Single-sex

  • Three-day camps

  • Trauma-informed

  • Ages 12-15

  • Key daily activities: CrossTalk (chapel)
    & Challenge Course (team building)

  • Each camp focuses on safety by providing a unique ratio of one camp counselor to every two campers. Rather than being co-ed, each camp is single-sex to promote a greater level of comfort between staff and campers.

  • Volunteers are thoroughly screened and trauma-trained, and equipped with tools to help campers learn teamwork, trust, and self-value. Each camp has a doctor/nurse and a licensed mental health professional (behavioral specialist) who are available to meet the needs of campers.

  • Every youth is offered complete confidentiality. No volunteers will take photos, other than the camp photographer who will take pictures for individual camper photo albums. AlI TRAC promotional videos/pictures will be edited for confidentiality.

  • Campers explore the wilderness, enjoy outdoor and water activities, make crafts, and participate in a low-level challenge course designed to build self-respect, teamwork, trust, and communication while having fun. Through encouragement and quality time with each teen, volunteers at TRAC strive to give campers a sense of hope that their past doesn't have to define their future.
